In case you missed our recent press release (and how could you?!) Free Hot Water has announced the release of our new FHW 8000 series solar thermal collector. It’s not only our largest solar thermal collector and SRCC OG-100 approved, but it’s also made in America.
As with all our flat plate solar collectors, the 8000 series can be used for either closed or open loop systems. It’s built for years of operation, generating a whopping 42,400 BTUs on a clear day, as rated by the SRCC. The overall footprint is 38.87 sq ft for each panel, measuring 120” x 48” x 4.”
The collector’s generous BTU production makes the collector ideal for hotels, hospitals, nursing homes, apartment buildings, laundry facilities, and 
other large commercial solar thermal applications.
As many of our customers and long-time readers knows, Free Hot Water already has a large commercial workhouse solar collector in our FHW 7000 series panel, which produces 28,800 BTUs under SRCC conditions. So why expand to an even larger system?
